Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
In short. We collect only what we need to run the service, bill what you subscribe to and understand where visits come from. We never sell personal data. Measurement cookies are used only if you accept them. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by writing to info@databrain.lat.
1. Who we are
Databrain LLC ("Databrain", "we") is the controller of the personal data collected on databrainhq.com and databrain.lat, and on the platform at sistema.databrain.lat, which hosts our products Artificial Intelligence, Remote, Neurolab and Campus. For anything related to privacy, write to info@databrain.lat.
2. What data we collect
- Data you give us. Name, email, company, language and country when you create an account; billing details when you subscribe to a plan; messages you send us; and the material you upload for analysis (ads, images and videos).
- Account data. Plan, credits, analysis history and team settings.
- Usage data. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time, and the source of the visit (the campaign or site that brought you), tied to a random identifier that does not reveal who you are.
- Studies with participants. In Databrain Remote and Neurolab, participant data (webcam gaze, facial expressions, answers and, in lab studies, physiological signals) is processed on behalf of the client running the study, under the informed consent shown to each participant before starting. The client is the controller of that data; Databrain acts as a processor.
3. Why we use it
- To run the service: create your account, process analyses, show results and keep the history for the retention period of your plan.
- To bill and issue receipts for the plans and credits you buy.
- To provide support and send notices about your account, payments and changes to the service.
- To send news and content about neuromarketing, which you can unsubscribe from at any time through the link in each email.
- To measure where visits and subscriptions come from, so we know which campaigns work and can improve the site.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, for instance creating several accounts to repeat the free trial.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use two kinds of cookies. Necessary cookies make the site and the platform work and cannot be switched off. Measurement cookies are used only if you accept them in the notice shown on your first visit.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform session and security token | Necessary | Keep you signed in and protect forms. | Session |
| db_consent | Necessary | Remember your cookie choice. | 180 days |
| db_origen | Measurement | Store the source of your first visit (campaign or referring site) so a sign-up is attributed correctly. | 90 days |
| Google Ads (gtag) | Measurement | Measure conversions from our ad campaigns. With Google Consent Mode, no advertising cookies are set unless you accept. | Up to 90 days |
You can change your choice at any time: . You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the platform may then stop working.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with providers that need it to deliver the service, under contract and for that purpose alone:
- Hosting, storage and email delivery providers.
- Our card payment processor, which receives billing details directly; Databrain never stores card numbers.
- The provider of our attention prediction technology, Neurons Inc., which processes the material submitted for analysis in Artificial Intelligence.
- Google, for campaign measurement, only if you accept measurement cookies.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers are located in other countries. In those cases we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards for the transfer.
6. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while the account is active and for as long as the law requires afterwards. Analysis history follows the retention period of your plan. Visit source data is kept for up to 90 days. Billing records are kept for the legally required period.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom and state privacy laws in the United States), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@databrain.lat. We answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, per-account and per-team access control, backups and monitoring. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data and will notify you of any incident that affects your information.
9. Children
Our services are for professionals and companies. We do not open accounts for anyone under 18 and do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Third-party links and embedded content
The site may link to other sites and embed content such as videos. Those sites have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies. We recommend reading them before interacting with that content.
11. Uses we do not allow
Databrain does not allow its products to be used to promote conventional tobacco, narcotics or controlled substances, pornography and sexually explicit content, or weapons intended for warfare or military use. Accounts that use the platform for these purposes may be suspended.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When a change matters, we will let you know on the site or by email. The date at the top shows the version in force.
